Arms Around Withrow Park: September 16 2017
Join us this Saturday, September 16, for Arms Around Withrow Park.
Start Time: 10:30am at Withrow Park Farmer’s Market.
Come out and support Ella, a local student who has created a special project to show our love for our green space. This project is called Arms around Withrow Park. At the Withrow Park Farmers Market the plan is to start a circle of people and slowly turn it into a huge circle by adding and asking more and more people walking through the park to join and help the cause. Ella’s idea is that the circle will show our commitment and love for our green space and show that we need to help our struggling environment.
Let’s support Ella and our beautiful Withrow Park and see if we can make a human circle all the way around the park!

April is Latin-America History Month at the TDSBAcross the TDSB, we have over 5,000 students and more than 21 countries from Latin-America that will be represented as we learn about and celebrate the diverse ethnicities, nationalities, cultures and languages of Latin-America. This year, we will elaborate on the concept of Abya Yala, a decolonized term from the Kuna Language, which refers to the geographical region of Latin-America as Indigenous Land as explored through the Indigenous Prophecy of the Eagle and Condor. This diversity is not easily accessed in mainstream sources of knowledge nor are the experiences of students from Latin-America. The TDSB is leading the equity work in transforming schools to equitable spaces where images, words and actions alike uplift students and families of Latin-America! Learn more |
