Calling all Gardeners! Volunteers are needed to help create pollinator gardens at Frankland.

Frankland Parent Council is one of the recipients for the 2023 Pollinate TO grants. Frankland received this grant to create pollinator gardens at our school. We are excited to begin work towards creating these pollinator gardens in the front of the school, as well continuing our work in the learning garden.

Over the next few weeks, we will be holding Community Gardening meetups & would like to invite you to join us for the first one this Saturday, April 29th from 9 am – noon to help us clean up the gardens.

This work will continue with other community gardening meetups held every Tuesday evenings during May, starting this Tuesday (starting May 2) from 5- 7:30 pm, as well as, another Saturday morning meetup on May 27. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring the whole family! Tools will be provided but please bring your own gardening gloves.

The meetups will happen rain or shine. If you would like to volunteer or for more information about the meetups, email franklandgreening@gmail.com.

Please help us say thank you to all the Frankland teachers, custodians, daycare and administration staff who make Frankland a fun and safe place for our kids by donating a dish. We still need main dishes and appetizers. Click on the SignUp link to donate a food dish or help with set up and clean up.

If you have no time to cook, no problems. Food donations are welcome from local restaurants.
