It is time to form our School Council for Frankland Community School and we are inviting you to join in the fun!

Our first School Council for this school year is being held this Wednesday, September 21 at 8 p.m. in the school library.

School Councils work to improve student achievement and enhance the accountability of the education system to parents and caregivers.Check out our School Council section, here in the blog to find information about what the School Council does, our by-laws and descriptions of roles and named positions.

Traditionally the Council consists of 15 positions from the parent community and two staff members. School Council Elections will take place during the week of September 26! All parents / guardians with a child registered at the school are invited to complete a nomination form for themselves or others (with their permission). If you are interested in joining, please complete a self-nomination form between now and 12 p.m. (noon) on Monday, September 26. The Self-Nomination Form to be filled out is available Here Alternatively, please contact the front office for a hard copy that can be returned to Mr. Parsons.

We hope you will consider joining the Council this year. It is a great way to become engaged in the Frankland community.

We (not only, but) especially need more diverse voices on the council. Please don’t feel intimidated to nominate yourself, and message us with questions if you’re considering it but aren’t sure!
